The Castellum.AI dashboard tracks consolidated Russia sanctions data. This Russia sanctions tracker is updated quarterly. We divide Russia sanctions as before and after 22 February 2022. On 21 February, Russian President Vladimir Putin recognized separatists in Donetsk and Luhansk as independent and ordered Russian troops to the region. The US and allies responded on 22 February with the first of what would become thousands of sanctions. Russia “officially” invaded Ukraine on 24 February.
